Regarding E-Mail Solicitations

Dear Friends,

We take every e-mail we receive from our visitors very seriously, including many that other site owners would simply brush aside. Because of this, we felt it was necessary to address a specific type of message that we get quite frequently.

Let me begin by pointing out that James & Dave's Bible Page is not run by a large organization with a staff and endless resources. We are two guys who have to work for a living, pay our bills and care for our families, just like you. Because of this, Biblical stewardship requires discernment and setting priorities. When it comes to Christian giving, the top priorities are the tithes and offerings which are to go to the local church (Malachi. 3:8-10; 1 Corinthians 16:1, 2; 2 Corinthians 8, 9; Hebrews 7:8). Other forms of giving are done through ministries and/or charities with whom we are familiar and know to be reputable organizations ( 1 Thesalonians 5:12).

With this in mind, I am sure you can understand that we do not respond to e-mail solicitations for money or other contributions (books, Bibles etc). If you are a LEGITIMATE Christian organization, we suggest you contact your local church or denominational headquarters for help. Similarly, we do not respond to e-mail commercial advertisements, nor are we interested in any "transferances of funds" from foriegn banks (and you know who you are). All spam and abuse will be reported as such.

Thanks For Your Understanding

James and Dave
